Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, I bless and praise You for being the Sovereign King who reigns in the midst of the chaos of this world. The devil wants us to focus on what we can see and hear happening in nations on the earth. You want us to focus on what You've already planned, purposed, and accomplished in the heavenly realms that will be manifested on the earth.
All that You have purposed You will do. The things that You have planned You will bring to pass. You are the One who ordains the end from the beginning. Nothing that is happening in the earth has caught You off guard, taken You by surprise, nor will block, hinder, stop, or thwart Your will and purpose from coming to pass.
God, forgive us for putting our hope and trust in men, who desperately need You, thinking that You need them to accomplish Your Kingdom agenda. Your Kingdom was inaugurated on earth through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. You are continuing Your Kingdom here on earth through the Church. A people called to live surrendered to Jesus and empowered by His Spirit to declare the good news of Your Kingdom to people from all nations on the earth. Once we fulfill this then Jesus will return to make everything new.
Jesus, turn our hearts back to You! So that our trust is solely in You. Bring us to the place where we do not want anything to hinder our intimacy with You and our usefulness to you. Do not let us get distracted from You and Your mission by the myriads of temporal things that can consume our talents, time, and treasures. Specifically, I ask that You do not let us play and get sidetracked by partisan politics that divide and cause people to think that being a Christian is tied to a person or political party other than You. Our highest priorities are to honor Your name as holy, build Your Kingdom, and do Your will on earth as it is in heaven. Help Your followers to live out the unity and love that we have in You by the power of Your Spirit.
Jesus, give us Your heart and burden our hearts to pray what is on Your heart. Anoint us and send us out to preach You, and not ourselves or anyone else, to those You've assigned us to share with. Awaken us from our sleep and slumber to Your passion and purpose. Help us to yield to Your authority that we may wield Your delegated authority in the earth. Open our spiritual ears to hear what Your Spirit is saying in this hour. Open our spiritual eyes to see Your activity in the earth so that we may join You in it. Link us together with those You'd have us to co-labor with until You return for the fulfillment of Your eternal Kingdom.
Revive Your people again that we may rejoice only in You. Cause times of refreshing to come upon us by the manifest presence of God. Use us to bring a great spiritual awakening to this nation and to the nations of the world. Turn people away from trusting men to trusting You, the One and only true and living God, through faith in Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen!!!
