God, Remind Us That You Don't Need Us!!! (Prayer Journal 80)

Holy Father, in Jesus' name, there are times when we are downcast and sad in our souls and don't even know why. God, what is it that You are working in us that You want to manifest through our lives for Your name to be honored as holy, the building of Your Kingdom, and Your will being done on earth as it is in heaven? God, we are so thankful that You have not left these things being accomplished up to us.

God, You will accomplish Your plans and fulfill Your purposes in the earth regardless of whether or not we surrender to You and partner with You.You are the Sovereign who is in absolute and total control over all things. You are all-powerful, all-knowing, and free to do whatever You choose to do. You have appointed the end from the beginning. It is impossible for You to lie. It is impossible for You to fail. It is impossible for You to die. It is impossible for You to cease to exist. It is impossible for You to be bound by time and space. You are never in the dark, out of the loop, at a loss to know what to do, flustered or frustrated. As the psalmist writes, 'Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; His greatness no one can fathom.

God, You love us because of who You are, not because we've done anything to deserve Your love. May it be Your love that You have poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit that drives us to do all that we do - as we love You and love others. God, move us, by Your Spirit, to give ourselves fully to You without compromise, hesitation, or reservation. God, make us people of integrity who recognize that the entirety of our lives are lived before Your watching eyes. May the reality of Your ever abiding presence, because of Jesus, cause us to live lives that are pleasing to You, our God and King.

God, give us an encounter with Your glory that invites us us to carry Your Word and manifest presence, give birth to Your Kingdom purposes, and proclaim Jesus to this adulterous and faithless generation. Help us to be faithful where You have planted us in this season. Break us of thoughts of greatness and help us to do everything that we do as unto You and not unto people. Rid us of all selfish ambition and conceit. Help us to realize that our lives, marriages, families, work, and ministries are meant to point people to Jesus Christ and His Kingdom - not to ourselves. Use us in this greatly. Yet I ask that You'd bring us to the place where our pursuit of You is simply because of who You are and who we are in Jesus Christ.

Jesus, Your are the vine and we are the branches. Apart from You we can do nothing. Father, would You prune us that we may bear even more fruit in the days to come. May we be a people who stay in You, Jesus, as Your Word stays in us that we may bear much fruit to glorify our heavenly Father. In Jesus' name, Amen!!!
