Father, in Jesus' name, thank You for fulfilling Your purposes in the world today and keeping every promise that You ever made. This is just as true in this generation as it has ever been. Despite our feelings, moods, thoughts, opinions, and lack of desire for You, Your love is constant towards us. Forgive us for being lazy and slothful in our pursuit of You. Forgive us for being critical and judgmental of others. Forgive us for allowing the attitudes and responses of others to dampen our enthusiasm for You. Forgive us for comparing ourselves and competing, in our minds, with one another in the body of Christ.
Give us Jesus' heart of compassion for this generation of youth to come to know You. Send us out into His harvest field to reach them. Give us Your heart of love for one another as we speak the truth to one another in love. May every member of the body of Christ be walking in rich overflowing intimacy with You and flourishing in our assignments so that we grow into Christ, the head of the body.
You do not need us, but You want us. Bring us to the place where we truly realize that You do not need to use us to bring about Your divine purpose and will. Yet You chose us and want to use us to honor Your name as holy, build Your Kingdom, and do Your will on earth as it is in heaven. You have called us to know You and to make You known. These things are only possible because of Your everlasting love, the riches of Your mercy, and the abundance of Your amazing grace.
As You pour out Your Spirit on this generation of youth, move them to confess and repent of their sins, to renounce idols and false gods, and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. As they come to know Your love demonstrated to them through Jesus' death on the cross, move them to respond by freely and fully giving themselves to You. Work in their hearts to desire You above everything else. Drain the love of this world from their hearts and fill and flood their hearts with Your love to overflowing measure. Use them to take Jesus to their generation.
The grip and the pull of the world, the flesh, and the devil is strong through the media and social media. Yet You are infinitely stronger. I ask You to break the power and pull of the world, the flesh, and the devil off of their lives. Manifest Your presence to them and reveal Yourself to them in an irresistible, irrefutable, and undeniable manner. Grant this generation a holy encounter with You that causes them to see that this world and the things in it are fading away and absolutely nothing compared to You. For only You and Your eternal Kingdom will remain forever. In Jesus' mighty, matchless, and majestic name!!!
