Jesus Be the Center of My Life! (Prayer Journal 192)

Father, in Jesus' name, I bless and praise You my God and King. At times I am so tired and unmotivated to do much of anything. I find myself drifting from You as I give in to the desires of my flesh, being lazy, slothful, apathetic, and indifferent. I know that the enemy of my soul is doing all that he can to distract me from seeking You and taking the steps of faith that You are leading me to take. It has been so hard for me to pray, and my prayers are repetitious and self-centered rarely going beyond the needs of my immediate family.

God, I am asking You to expand my borders and enlarge my heart for the people and nations of the world. I am asking You to multiply the outreach of my life, marriage, family, and ministry exponentially above anything that I can ask or imagine for You to do. Help me to take steps in the direction that You have called me to walk. As I do would You part waters; defeat enemies; suspend laws of nature; turn the hearts of kings; open doors in strategic places; heal sicknesses; cast out demons; save souls; restore marriages and families; knock down walls that stand in the way of people walking in Your promises; turn losses into gains, defeat into victory, death into life, sorrow into joy, and darkness into light.

Jesus, guide me step by step as to what You want me to do. Grant me great sensitivity to Your Spirit and voice. Help me to obey You. That I would step out of a boat in the middle of a storm as You command me to come to You on the water. For there is nothing too hard or impossible for You and all things are possible for the one who believes. You do not need me to minister to others on Your behalf. And I know that there is nothing that I can do to serve others apart from Your Spirit working in and through me. Yet You have chosen, called, and anointed me to minister forgiveness, grace, healing, hope, salvation, transformation, and truth to people so that they might know You and grow in Your grace.

Do not let me be distracted from walking in intimate fellowship with You by marriage, family, ministry, work, or anything else. May You have the preeminence, priority, and first place only in all things. Everything revolves around You. For You are truly the center of it all. May You be the center of my life! May Your life supernaturally overflow out of me as I abide in You and Your Word abides in me. Help me to be fully engaged and focused on You at all times. Help me to seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness so that You may give me everything that I need to bring You glory as I do Your will on earth. Help me not to worry about what tomorrow may bring but to rest fully in the grace that You give me this day. Amen!!!
