Father, in Jesus' name, thank You for faithfully bringing us to and through another day. You continue to be so kind, loving, merciful, gracious, patient, and constant to us. It is just who You are, and You will not ever change. You are the Lord our God who does not change. Jesus, we are grateful that You never tire of interceding for us, that You never give up on us, and that Your love towards us never fails. You loved us when we were far off and Your enemies. How much more now since You have reconciled us to Yourself, justified us by faith, adopted us into Your family and call us Your friends?
Jesus, it blows us away every time that we are reminded of the truth that You left heaven to come to earth and rescue us by bearing our sins and enduring the wrath of God that we so rightly deserve. We cannot begin to fathom the riches of God's mercy, the abundance of His grace, and His everlasting and unfailing love towards us. God, help us to continually come to You in a posture of humility bowed down low in our hearts before Your Majestic Presence. For You are God and we are not. You do not need us, yet we desperately need You. Help us to come before You with open hands. Take out of our hands what You will and put into them what You will.
Forgive us for wanting to figure out what You have for us in the future. Help us to faithfully follow You moment by moment. For Your Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our paths. Thank You for giving us enough light to take the next step that You have set before us. Speak to us Lord. Help us to hear Your voice and walk in Your way not turning from it to the left or to the right.
Jesus, stir our hearts to come to You and be overwhelmed by Your great love for us. May we live for You and be sent out to represent You in response to the overflow of Your love. Give us Your compassionate heart that moves us to minister to those who are broken, hurting, lost, and spiritually dead around us. Thank You for the gift of the Holy Spirit which has caused Your love to be shed abroad in our hearts. Cause Your love to compel us to take the gospel of the Kingdom to people in this fallen world. Stir our hearts to be in the right posture before God's holy presence and in light of Your overwhelming grace to respond to the question 'Whom shall I send and who will go for us?' with the only appropriate answer. Here I am. Send me!
We do not know what to do and know that we cannot do anything apart from You. So, our eyes are upon You. We confess our utter inability to bear witness for You without Your divine enablement. We thank You for the power of the Holy Spirit and what You will do to, in, and through our lives to bring Your hope and salvation to those around us. Thank You, even in the midst of the evil in our world, that through Your people and our prayers that the Father's name is being honored as holy, Your Kingdom is coming, and Your will is being done on earth as it is in heaven. Lay on each of our hearts the vision for our assignments and grant provision for us to fulfill them as we co-labor with You and one another. Bring us to the place of surrender to You and Your mission. Grant us the grace to do the work You've called us to in going into all the world and preaching the good news of who You are and what You have done to all creation. In Jesus' name, Amen!!!
