Jesus, Help Us To Live With Absolute Trust in You! (Prayer Journal 66)

Holy Father, in Jesus' name, I ask that You'd grow Your children's love for You as we experience and reflect daily on Your incredible love for us. Help us to delight ourselves in You as You give us the desires of our heart. God, grant us a great passion for Your Word, for prayer, for the Church, and for the return of Jesus Christ. Grant us an urgency to do Your will. Do not let us be poor stewards over the time, treasures, talents, relationships, resources, and opportunities that You have entrusted to us for the purpose of glorifying Your name. Teach us to number our days that we might apply our hearts unto wisdom. Help us to walk wise to those who are outside of Your Kingdom making the most of every opportunity as our conversation is with grace seasoned with salt that we might know how to answer each and every person.

Jesus, push us beyond our comfort zones and command us to "Put out into the deep and let down our nets for a catch." Move us to step into uncharted deep waters with rushing rapids so that we have no option but to trust You or drown. Even in areas where we have tried everything that we know to do and have come up empty and frustrated with the results give us a will bent to Yours so that our response is "... because You say so, we will let down the nets." Bring us to the place that we follow You with reckless abandon as You use us to take the good news of who You are and what You've done to others.

Jesus, I ask You to open doors and put us in places that could only be explained by the truth that You are with us. Do not let us sit back waiting if your are leading us forward. But do not let us move forward if You are telling us to be still and wait. May it be known that we trust You by how we live. Help us to live by the Word of God (in step with the Spirit) and not by what we experience and see in the world.

God, put us in places and spaces where we know that apart from Christ we are inadequate, incompetent, insufficient, and unable to do anything. Make us a people who are deeply dependent upon Christ for He alone is our adequacy, competency, sufficiency, and ability. Move us to attempt great things for You knowing that it is not by our might, nor by our power, but only by Your Holy Spirit. God, do a work to, in, and through our lives, marriages, families, and local churches that can only explained because these lives that we now live in the flesh we live by faith in Jesus Christ who is living His resurrected life through us to the glory of God, for the coming of God's Kingdom, and the will of God being done on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus' name, Amen!!!
